City
  • Removing a Holy City from the Game Inquisitors can also be used to remove a Holy City you have conquered (but only then). An Inquisitor using Remove Heresy in a Holy City will remove all other Religions but the one to which they're tied (yours), and in this case prevent it from coming back unless there are other Cities nearby of that Religion and spreading through pressure.
  • Only the dominant religion exerts pressure. The pressure score is the pressure exerted on the city, not by the city, as you say. Holy cities do have internal pressure, but normally the internal pressure on a holy city is 30. – Lawton Jul 3 '12 at 16:58.

Uuh that sounds genocidal right? The thing is, this bad neighbor Siam has been really annoying me with his conversion and flooding me with his missionaries and prophets until I said enough is enough and conquered him.

I razed all his cities except the capital which cannot be destroyed. It continues to be a beacon of his religion with +40 influence even with only two population and most of my cities and neighboring minors are still influenced as well, I churn out missionaries but they can't seem to stem the tide, only my capital has more influence of my own religion.I know religion isn't that much of a big deal, but religious perks (like +1 culture from plantations) don't work unless the city belongs to your religion. And besides, its just annoying as hell.

Nov 3, 2014 - If I convert an enemy's last city so that no followers of his religion remain, is his. You must capture enemy's holy city (normally capital) and use your own. You also need to annihilate the enemy civilization, removing him from.

So what can I do to neutralize the demonic influence of his conquered capital? Also other questions.-Any way to prevent missionaries from entering your lands? Closed borders don't seem to stop them.-Any way to remove city ruins? Dungeon keeper vollversion download deutsch kostenlos. A GP is unnecessary for that. A missionary will have the same amount of conversion strength as a GP (certain beliefs modify that however) and the Inquisitor will torch all the believers just like a GP will.In fact, you often don't even need a missionary to convert them when you hit them with an inquisitor, because of pressure your religion has already exerted on them. Your religious pressure was overshadowed by theirs, but it's still there, and when all theirs suddenly vanishes you can have a quite substantial number of believers afterwards. OK what do you guys think of this other option: Abstain from founding a religion and just letting yourself be converted to the dominant one.

How good or bad is that? Do your cities enjoy the perks that the mother religion has; for example, if they have +1 happiness from shrines, will you get +1 happiness in your converted cities? If they have the option to build cathedrals, will you be able to build cathedrals?

Then you could use your prophets to build religious sites or other stuff, and missionaries to fully embrace the new faith. You do lose the excitement of having your own religion, but when your neighbor is an arshole, it becomes an annoyance.

AI takes stupid bonuses.Religion is not really needed to win, gives a nice push but can easliy be won without. But yes, if you dont get religion at all, they will send missionaries to convert your cities and whatever bonuses they took, a whole bunch of crappy stuff, you get them too, buildings, everything.Still better to get your own. If some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is invading with an army of missionaries just declare war and never ever settle for peace, because the moment you settle for peace AI will just restart the conversion invasion.

As long you are at war, he cant denounce you, and other civs dont care for state of war even if its their best friend.Better to capture missionaries and destroy them then let em convert. Not founding a religion and letting the AI convert your cities works best with a couple of AI's fighting a conversion war in your cities with religions that allow purchase of religious buildings with faith. Leave them to it and purchase cathedrals, pagodas, etc. As available. Then use your resulting faith points to purchase great people from the industrial era on.Probably best to block anyone getting world religion to not dilute votes from getting your ideology as world ideology and from your CS allies. If you allow an AI to convert your cities be very careful they don't have the belief that helps their units near cities of their own religion. That one you really want to keep out in case they attack you.
