Was a little hesitant about this toy being able to withstand my 4 year old, he's tough on toys. But once we got the Paw Patrol flip & fly out of its packaging, it's surprising has withstand the abuse my kids dish out. It's been dropped a number of times and is still I working order.
It transforms easily and has 2 flying discs and 3 tennis balls, which can be launched from the airplane. I do like that the plane has holders for the extra balls when not in the in the launcher.

So I am pretty sure when the makers of Chase Paw Patrol Flip and Fly were thinking up this cool toy.they tried to make sure all the coolest features were included. Check, ease of use. Check, shooters.
All without a single battery or controller needed. While opening the box my 4-year old Reed kept repeating.
Where's the controller? Where's the controller? I was nervous. No controller anywhere. After assembly and we tried out this airplane-car-joy toy all in one we realized.
Not having a controller was great! All the action was in your hands while you played it. You were a part of the fun!Now, hours later. My little guy is still carrying around Chase, transforming from car to plane and back again and shooting the flying discs and projectiles all while laughing and yelling. On the double!The only negative I could possibly give the new favorite toy of this house?the difficulty opening the packaging.
Luckily we had scissors and strength on the double! This review was collected as part of a promotion. I honestly was not sure if my 6 year old son would like this, but when I asked if he would he was all over it. When the box came and he opened it up he had a blast and takes it everywhere he goes! He loves shooting the discs and driving it until take-off when it turns into a plane. He gets a little upset when it opens into flight before he's ready but he still loves it. The wings open very easily so he has to use both hands to keep it together or apart when driving it or making it fly to keep it open.
That's the only reason I give it four stars. It's very nicely made and the packaging is so much easier on parents to open. I don't have to go find tools to open it. Overall it's a great gift or toy for your little one at least up to age 6 or 7 I'd say depending on personality. This review was collected as part of a promotion.
My 4.5yo son loves Paw Patrol and couldn't wait to try the Chase Flip 'n Fly after I opened the box. He did have a bit of a difficult time figuring out how to get Chase into the car/plane, but once I showed him how to do it, he was able to get him in and out just fine. The upside to that difficulty is that Chase doesn't fall out easily. The downside is that the paint on Chase's feet, which is tan, marks up the blue cockpit of the car/plane, and then his feet look all scratched up.Anyhow, my son was able to figure out the 'launchers' pretty easily, but they m ay be easily lost, depending on your child's ability to keep track of projectiles.
Also, he kept wanting me to flatten out the wings more (as they appear on the package). Unfortunately, I couldn't, so he got frustrated with it but eventually got over it.Otherwise, when it folds back into a car, there's no 'click' or anything to make it stay that way in car form, and unless you hold it together by hand, the two halves fall apart, making it continually end up in airplane form. Holding the the two halves together to play with it as a car is a lot to ask for a little kid (this toy is rated age 3+) who just wants to run it around the floor. Both my husband and I tried to figure out how to make the two halves of the car stay together, and neither of us could do it or find anything that hooked one side to the other.
As such, our son doesn't play with it as a car and pretty much uses it solely as an airplane and likes to take Chase out and hook him with it.Overall it's a pretty fun toy, but I think it would be a better toy if the wings flattened more, as they appear on the package, and if the two halves of the car stayed together when brought towards each other.
